KAIBA 18-8 Gastronorm Pans

Gastronorm pan sizes are set by the European Standards Committee as a standard for the food industry. This standard helps food pan manufacturers and food businesses communicate with each other far more effectively. Pan sizes are referenced by the outer width x length of the pan. One benefit of standardised sizes: if you have a slot that holds one 1/1 pan, you know immediately that you can replace it with 

Each pan size also comes in depths of 3.2/6.5/10/15/20 cm. KAIBA American Type food pans (no ridged rim, so less food residue builds up) are made from 18-8 stainless steel, which resists rust, acids and alkalis in food very well. Thickness is approximately 6.9-7 mm
